Managing Event-Based Content
Use the "Treat as Event" feature for seasonal specials, recurring promos, and time-sensitive content.

What this solves
Your AI Manager doesn't know that Valentine's Day roses should be promoted in early February, or that Taco Tuesday happens every week. The “Treat as Event” feature gives your catalog items a calendar.
When to use it
- Restaurants: Seasonal menus, holiday specials, weekly features
- Real estate: Open houses, broker tours, auction dates
- Nonprofits: Fundraising campaigns, awareness months, annual events
- E-commerce: Product launches, flash sales, seasonal collections
- Fitness: New Year challenges, summer programs, workshop series
How it works
When you toggle “Treat as Event,” you set:
- Event Date — when it happens
- Lead-up Days — how many days before to start posting
- Duration — how long the event lasts (1 day, 1 week, etc.)
- Recurrence — never (one-time), daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, yearly
Your AI Manager automatically ramps up posts as the date approaches, peaks during the event, and stops after.
Example 1: Florist managing Valentine's Day
Title: Valentine's Day Arrangements 2026
Description: “Premium roses, custom bouquets, same-day delivery. Featuring our exclusive Heart's Desire collection with garden roses and seasonal blooms.”
Tag: Event
Event Date: February 14 • Lead-up: 21 days • Recurrence: Yearly
Media: 5 photos of arrangement options (multiple images selected)
From January 24 through February 14, your AI Manager increases posts about Valentine's arrangements — showcasing different bouquets, sharing delivery deadlines, highlighting the Heart's Desire collection. On February 15, posts stop automatically.
Example 2: Restaurant managing Taco Tuesday
Title: Taco Tuesday Special
Description: “$2 tacos, rotating proteins, house-made salsa bar. This week: al pastor and grilled fish.”
Lead-up: 2 days • Duration: 1 day • Recurrence: Weekly
Every week, your AI Manager ramps up Taco Tuesday content Monday–Tuesday, then moves on.
Example 3: Nonprofit managing Giving Tuesday
Title: Giving Tuesday — Double Your Impact
Description: “Every dollar donated November 1–30 is matched by XYZ Foundation. Support our after-school literacy program serving 200+ kids.”
Event Date: December 3, 2026 • Lead-up: 14 days • Recurrence: Yearly
Collateral linked: 2024 annual report, student success stories
From November 19 through December 3, your AI Manager builds campaign momentum with impact stories, donor testimonials, and matching deadline reminders.
Event vs. Calendar Event
Catalog Item with “Treat as Event” — specific content tied to a date (Valentine's bouquets, open house for 123 Main St).
Calendar Event (separate feature) — generic awareness day with no specific product (it's Thanksgiving, post something thankful).
Use Catalog “Treat as Event” when you have specific collateral for the date. Use Calendar Events for general awareness.
Pro Tips
- •Set lead-up days based on purchase cycle (21 days for Valentine’s flowers, 7 days for open house).
- •Link collateral (menus, event flyers, impact reports) to event items for richer posts.
- •Use recurrence for repeating events — set once, runs forever.
